General Overseer

Our General Overseer (GO) is Rev Chuks. He was born into a Christian family with the call of God upon his life. His mother’s story was that before he was born she was desperate to have a male child as she already had three female children. She promised God that if He blessed her with a male child she will bring him up in His ways and he will serve Him. God blessed her with our GO who is the only son in a family of six children. His parents kept their promise to God, bringing up their son in the ways of the Lord. He was not aware of this story until much later in life. Chuks is a Barrister/solicitor by profession. He graduated from the University of Lagos, Nigeria in 1989 and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 1990. He opened his Law Practice in Nigeria in 1990. In 1998 he was enrolled as Solicitor of England and Wales having successfully completed post graduate law courses at Guildhall University, London, UK and College of Law, London, UK. He headed different law firms in London, UK where he achieved judical precedents before finally answering the call of God in his life.

Rev. Chuks has always been a practicing Christian with a heart for Jesus Christ. During a prayer meeting in 1999 he encountered God in a different way. He recalls how God called him to prophetic ministry and how he manifested the calling that day. In a small prayer group in London, God spoke prophetic messages through him to people present, their families and friends located in various countries. It was a unique encounter with God. Rev.  Chuks combines his legal practice with ministry in Church of England in different capacities.

In 2010 other men of God confirmed that God has indeed called him into ministry. He successfully went through the Church of England priesthood selection processes. The Bishop of London, UK confirmed his call to priesthood in 2011. Some of his friends nicknamed him “chosen Priest” following the confirmation from the Bishop of London. While waiting for God’s direction he continued to help other churches grow and expand. He visited churches, supporting them in prayer, preaching and prophetic ministrations. Many churches and individuals he assisted in prayers received answers from God. He likes to hear from God before he takes any step. He waited on the Lord until 2014 when God gave him name for the ministry and directed him on how to set it up. Godways International Ministry was born.
